Base pay range $70,000.00/yr - $90,000.00/yr
SCHIZOPHRENIA & PSYCHOSIS ACTION ALLIANCE The Organization The Schizophrenia and Psychosis Action Alliance (S&PAA) is a 501(c)(3) national nonprofit organization dedicated to eliminating barriers to treatment, survival, and meaningful recovery for individuals living with schizophrenia and psychosis spectrum disorders. This support can mean the difference between isolation and connection and can help individuals live independently to their fullest potential. Summary: The Manager of Communications is a key role responsible for implementing organizational internal and external communications. This role involves developing and implementing communication plans that promote the organization's mission, enhance its brand image, and engage stakeholders effectively. The Manager of Communications will facilitate and contribute to public relations activities, media relations, content creation, and communication channels to ensure consistent messaging and a positive public image. Principal Functional Responsibilities: Brief Detail of Responsibility % of Time
Social-media and Communications Development & Management: Conceptualize, draft, and edit email, social, website and other ongoing communications, coordinate communications with employees and contractors, monitor and measure social-media statistics, ensure accurate audience segmentation and management. 50%
Data Analysis and Reporting: Implement systems to collect, maintain, and analyze data related to communications. Generate reports to assess the impact of communications and identify areas for improvement. 15%
Website liaison: Compile, review, and create content for the website. Ensure the website is up-to-date. Act as a liaison between S&PAA and web designers. 10%
Event Logistics: Work with staff/contractors to plan, communicate, and execute special events. 10%
Strategic Planning: Support the development, implementation, and oversight of S&PAA's strategic plan, initiatives, and programs, specifically in relation to communications. 5%
Perform other duties as assigned 10% Qualifications: Education: Required: Bachelor's Degree in relevant field (communication, public relations, journalism, marketing, etc.) Experience: Three or more years of experience in communications, public relations, marketing, or related field, preferably in a nonprofit organization.
