Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) Position Responsibilities

  • Respond to emergency calls promptly and provide Basic Life Support (BLS) care.
  • Monitor and use ambulance medical equipment in accordance with protocols.
  • Collaborate with dispatchers and medical personnel at treatment facilities.
  • Complete accurate and timely patient care reports and documentation.
  • Safely transport patients to and from hospitals, rehabilitation centers, and medical facilities.
  • Operate ambulance stretchers and stair chairs effectively (lifting up to 150 lbs).
  • Maintain clean, organized, and well-stocked ambulance vehicles and equipment.
  • Deliver exceptional customer service to patients, families, and healthcare partners.

Qualifications

  • Certifications : Valid Pennsylvania EMT certification (NREMT preferred), current CPR certification (BLS for Healthcare Providers), Emergency Vehicle Operator Course (EVOC) certification.
  • Licensing : Valid Pennsylvania Driver’s License with a clean driving record (preferred).
  • Experience : Minimum 1 year of EMT experience in emergency medical services (preferred).
  • Skills : Strong communication, teamwork, and multitasking abilities; composure in high-pressure situations; physical ability to lift and maneuver patients safely.

Ambulance Driver (EMSVO) Position Responsibilities

  • Safely transport patients to and from hospitals, rehabilitation centers, and medical facilities.
  • Operate ambulance stretchers and stair chairs effectively.
  • Assist and lift patients (ability to lift up to 150 lbs required).
  • Provide exceptional customer service to patients and their families.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and well-stocked ambulance vehicle.
  • Assist passengers with safe boarding and exiting.
  • Implement professional behavior management techniques in high-pressure situations.
  • Routinely wash, clean, and organize ambulance vehicles and equipment.

Qualifications

  • Certifications : Emergency Vehicle Operator Course (EVOC/EMSVO) certification, current CPR certification.
  • Licensing : Valid Pennsylvania Driver’s License with a clean driving record.
  • Experience : Minimum 1 year of experience in ambulance operations or related driving roles (preferred).
  • Skills : Fluency in English with strong verbal and written communication skills; proficient in writing reports and maintaining accurate records; excellent interpersonal skills for customer service; ability to manage passenger behavior professionally.
