Role:

To assist the credit union in achieving its service mission to deliver Total Member Delight in each and every
service interaction with both internal and external members. To supervise the daily operations of the Accounting
Department; prepare financial reports, including annual plan and operating budgets; ensure complete, accurate,
and timely completion of financial and accounting records for the credit union.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee daily operations of department and assist team members with problems, while allocating staff resources as needed to maintain scheduled completion dates. Lead each team member to achieve their fullest potential through growth and development coaching and training.
• Provide backup to the VP of Accounting for financial, statistical and accounting records of the credit union.
• Assists with completion of monthly financial reporting.
• Assists with the completion of the NCUA 5300 report and other required Federal and State reporting.
• Review and verify the accuracy of journal entries and accounting classifications through reviewing and approving team members reconciliations.
• Complete other tasks as assigned.

Knowledge & Skills:

Experience: Five years to eight years of similar or related experience.

Education: Bachelors Degree in Accounting.

Interpersonal Skills: Work involves extensive personal contact with others and is of a personal or sensitive
nature. Motivating, influencing, and/or training others is key at this level. Outside contacts
become important and fostering sound relationships with other entities (companies and/or
individuals) becomes necessary and often requires the ability to influence and/or sell ideas
or services to others.

Other Skills :

• In Depth knowledge of Accounting concepts.
• Experience with automated data processing systems including PC software programs.
• Must be able to use all types of general office equipment.
• Must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Position Type: Full Time, Exempt

Hours: 40 Hours per week

Location: Massena, NY

Current Schedule: 8a-5p Monday - Friday

Pay Range: $68,973.30 - $86,216.63 annually. Position also eligible for quarterly incentives and annual bonus.

Actual starting salary will be determined based on skills, experience (to the extent relevant) and other job-related factors, consistent with applicable law.
